Backstory

These are various literary short stories--or something resembling literary short stories--written from a period of 2002-2008. They range in length from 1,000-7,000 words more or less. I didn't push real hard to get these in magazines or journals, although I sold one to a crappy ezine.

Most of these as you should note were written in either 2002 when I was converting from sci-fi to literary or in 2004 when I thought writing short stories would help me develop my novel-writing skills and get some writing credits--that didn't happen. I've written a few others since then and in some ways I enjoy writing short stories because you don't have to do so much; you can narrow your focus to pretty much one specific incident.
